Plugin crashes site when activated

We recently updated to the latest version of our WP site after backing up the site. However, we decided to go in a different direction and just create a whole new site instead. So, we restored the site to the previous version and now when the Download Manager plugin is activated, it crashes our site. We’ve also noticed that a few of the links associated with this plugin are no longer showing on the frontend. This is what I see instead: [wpdm_file id=8]

Which PHP version or WordPress version you are using, let me know

Our PHP version is 7.2.34 and our current WordPress version is super old at 3.5.1.

You need to update wp.
