Hi There, When I trash a file and trash the downlood and try and uploaded a revised pdf with the same filename I get a strange prefix in front of the file name ( see attchment). I assume this is because the original file with same file name is still stored somewhere. How can I permanently delete uploaded files
from the database?

Deleting a post actually will not delete the uploaded file, as the same file could be linked with another post, however, overwrite existing file only available with pro version. Or you may use following add-on to manage files:
