My Downloads not showing the the user dashboard

The ‘My Downloads’ section/tab in the user dashboard is not displaying on my page. On the demo website, this sections shows on the left hand side of the user dashboard just underneath ‘download history’, but it is not showing on the page I have designated as the user dashboard on my site. Does this need to be activated somewhere? Or, is there an additional shortcode that must be used to get it to show up?

Hello Philip,

Thanks for contacting us.

To show My Downloads tab in the user dashboard, you have to use the below addon with wpdm

Advanced Access Control

It enables the feature to select specific user for specific downloads. My downloads tab is to show the available downloads to that user.

Hi Tanvir,

Thank you for the reply.

Does this Addon work with Categories as well? Or does it only work if you specify the specific usernames in the Package?

For example, will users who have a access to download Packages within a certain Category see those all of the Packages they have access to in the ‘My downloads’ section? Or does the ‘My downloads’ section only show you Packages that have specifically be tied to a username?

Hello Philip,

Yes the addon works with wpdm category as well.
The accessible category packages and download packages will be shown to that user in my downloads section.

Hi Tanvir,

I have downloaded the Advanced Access Control Plugin, but I am unable to get the package to show up in the ‘My downloads’ section by category alone.

Is there a setting that needs to be activated in order for this to work for categories?

I am only able to get the package to show up in ‘My Downloads’ if it is specifically assigned to the username.

Hello Philip,

Yes to show the packages to my download, you have to set users for download packages.
However, You can also set download categories to specific users too. So they will get accessible downloads of the category to my downloads section.
