The latest update of this plug in broke my website:

I tried copying the old version from our development site over and it still broke.
I need to update some files for downloading ASAP and could use some help.

Please check if you are using old php version, latest update required php v5.3 or upper. However you still can get old version from here https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/download-manager.2.8.3.zip
We are using 5.3.29, so that’s not the issue. I tried using the 2.8.3 files from our test development site and ftping them over to our live site, but that didn’t work either.
You should look for the error in the file error_log in the log directory. Maybe there are differences between your local and server configuration (db user/password etc.)
usually the log file is in
/var/log/apache2/error.log or /var/log/httpd/error.log
The test system and our live system are on the same server… and there is nothing in our log files for either site.
