invalid-download-link erro

Good morning,
I’m using Download manager with a direct url to a file. I have included a password for the download which works fine.
Now, once I get access to the download button I received the error message: “invalid-download-link” on an WP error screen.
I saw a previous thread on the forum that suggested to clear cache and update download manager to its latest version.
Unfortunately, that didn’t fix the problem. I’d appreciate your help.
