File Upload Not Working

After successfully installing the plugin, when attempting to upload a PDF it never goes into the cache folder. I’ve checked permissions and they are set at 777 for both the cache and it’s parent folder.

I believe it’s attempting to upload these into the root for some reason but that’s just a hunch. Any configuration steps I’m missing?

I’m having issues uploading a pdf to my site. When I try adding the file I get the following message:
Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp/phpdYlrog) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/primelightingdesign.com/awp/pub

What do I have to do to fix this?
