I’m currently evaluating Download Manager Free plugin on a test site as a test. If successful, I will update to Pro for the full site.
I performed an update a couple of days ago to 2.9.50 and it took the site down:

error was this:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /homepages/29/d151190146/htdocs/bnthermic-testsite/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 14

Today I deactivated the plugin and the site was ok, so – I deleted it, then re-installed, then tried re-activation. I’m getting the same error now on activation, so plugin is now being disabled by WordPress.

Any idea as to the cause?

Hi,

Download Manager requires php version >=5.4

Please ask your server support to update your php version to fix this issue.

Thanks.

I have managed to update the php version from 5.1 to 5.6.
Which means the previous version of wpdownloadmanager worked on php 5.1

I am still getting the same error with this new version.

This has not solved the problem. Any other ideas?
