Downloads Stalling and Failing to Complete

We’re having a new problem with users not being able to get downloads. The behavior is repeatable across browsers and platforms, and may be related to download speeds since fast connections don’t seem to have the problem.

Using my phone without wireless, I can watch the download start and stall out, ending at different points in the download (sometimes 1.1MB, sometimes 849KB, etc.)

I’ve reinstalled with the latest version of the plugin and the problem persists. Do you have any suggestions?

I agree that it sometimes works- I have no trouble from desktop Chrome with a fast internet connection, but it’s a reproducible error from a phone on data. I have multiple reports from a variety of users on different browsers, mobile and otherwise, running into the problem.

Thanks Shafayet, that seems to have fixed the issue. I’ll test further to be sure, but I definitely appreciate the pointer. I looked at those settings but assumed that disabling them wouldn’t help.

We’re still seeing some errors- PDFs that would download but wouldn’t be able to open- so I switched the toggle for “Open in Browser” and that seems to be helping.
