Hi there. I am sure this has been asked a million times, but I can’t find an answer.
I am trying to set it so when you click the download link it downloads the file instantly, rather than opening the actual download page where you have to then click again. This just adds an extra step in the process and I am trying to keep things simple. This is my shortcode:
[wpdm_package id='37609' template='link-template-widget']

Thanks for the quick reply – I must be being really stupid (I am new today to WPDM). What should my new shortcode be with your tag that you gave me?
My current shortcode is [wpdm_package id='37609' template='link-template-widget']
What should I change it to? Looking at buying the pro version but want to see how it works for us first.

If you use WPDM free version then you have to customize the related template file by following the below link. Where the associated file is this.
However, with the WPDM Pro, you can do it easily by following this screencast.
