Hello! Our site has been experiencing the error below, but only for a couple of users. I cannot seem to replicate the error on my end. Can you advise on what might be the issue? We are running v3.3.46 on WordPress v6.9.

“[23-Dec-2025 05:23:28 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function WPDM\__\wp_generate_password() in [edited out for privacy] wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/__/Session.php on line 59”

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out.

The error was related to v3.3.38 and was immediately resolved. As you can see , the date mentioned in the error is 23 December.

[23-Dec-2025 05:23:28 UTC] PHP Fatal error:

If you are encountering this error in the latest version, please share temporary login credentials in a private reply so we can take a closer look.

Thank you! I did update WPDM today, so hoping the issue no longer persists.
