Both Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Google Chrome inprivate return a blank page when I try to download a file that I should have access to. The URL is changed to “about:blank#blocked”.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what may be causing this problem?

Thnx for your quick response. In parallel I found out that using [WPDM_..] shortcode at the action buttons caused the problem. After replacing the shortcode by a copy of the download link, the downloads are executed properly.
