Are downloads a CPT that can be viewed in a regular archive?

Hi,

Before upgrading to pro, I am curious how the downloads are stored. I have 100s of downloadable files that I currently host through Google Drive workspace and display on my site using a CPT and elementor.

I am particular about how the downloads are displayed and need to add lots of details to them.

Using elementor, can I display the WPDM entries in an archive template without having to override the WPDM php page? Also, can I make a custom single download page template using elementor?

If I can’t I might as well stick with the method I have now, but it would be great if this worked.
