Hi Download Manager! I’m a very happy user of your product but have recently started running into problems. When ever I try and view all the downloads on my site via the “Downloads” tab (on the admin side of things) I get an Internal Server Error.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

The same is happening for pages on my site containing file category lists.

Not sure how to fix it as I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin etc

Any help would be appreciated!

Would you please give us temporary wp-admin access via a private reply? We need to check it there.

Hi Everything from my end works great but I can’t seem to download any file. When I click on the “Download” icon (as a member of the public), all I get is a file titled “download-not-available”

Again thanks for all your help.

Here’s an example of the files I get.

Also, I’m not sure if this is related, but WordPress fails to update? Could it be a permissions problem? The files seem to upload ok, but people can’t download.

Thanks

Hi I have also encountered the same issue after migrating the code to live website.

The live server is that I am migrating to is Window hosting, while in my development server it was Linux so I am not sure if there’s any relation to this.

If this is something that can be resolved on our end I hope that you can share the solution with us, instead of resolving it privately.

Thanks,
Karl

@Tauhid Could you please check my website as well? I had to deactivate the plug in because it caused my whole website to crash (500 Ineternal Error). All my other plugins worked when WordPress updated.

Thank you!

Thanks for bumping this! No one can download any files at the moment and I’ll need to start looking at alternatives to Download Manager if this continues!

I don’t want to however as I really do like the plugin and think its great that its free!

Just to share some of the things that I have tried:
– Updating the WPDM plugin folder to FULL permission. (FAILED)
– Updating the WPDM specified uploading folder to FULL permission. (FAILED)
– Switching PHP version from 5.29 to 5.5 (FAILED)
– Updating all the plugins to latest version (FAILED)
– Updating WordPress to the latest version (FAILED)

More details about the server that I am migrating to:
– Using IIS to run FastCGI.

Just so you know in the end, I found it to be more to do with my hosting provider than anything else. Switching providers seem to make this problem go away.
