For updating the WPDM main plugin, Please simply click the Save Settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License, and then please update the plugin from the wp-admin > plugins panel. For saving settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License, that will regenerate the access token. Thus the plugin will be updated, hope that, it will solve your issue.
And for add-on updates, you can follow these steps,
1 ) Download the latest version from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
2 ) Install the latest version and activate.

I fixed this by adding CSV to the allowed file types to upload setting. As a recommendation, this should be allowed by default.

I have just bought Download Manager Pro + the S3 plugin. I have 1000’s of PDF’s in a series of S3 buckets which are in one larger bucket. All I want to be able to do is make all the PDF’s searchable, viewable and downloadable to anyone on the site.
Nothing else. I don’t want to sell or collect emails or anything, just to allow people to search for and find Pdf’s and then download them securely from S3.

A page illustrating the question is this one, which contains tables generated by Download Manager Pro, linking to download packages:

All download packages require a user to be logged in.
The red “Login” button has the desired behavior, in that pressing it links to our login page, but with a redirect back to our download overview page after login (Example: https://www.anybodytech.com/my-account/?redirect_to=/resources/customer-downloads/)
The question is, if something like this is also possible for the links in the table (labeled “AnyBody Modeling System (64-bit version)”) directly to the download packages. Pressing one of these when not logged in just links to our login page like this:

But we would have liked that it instead also put in a redirect argument in the URL like this:
(https://www.anybodytech.com/my-account/?redirect_to=/download/anybodysetup-7-4-1-8830_x64/)
But I have not found any settings where I can specify this, so I’m asking if it is possible?
I would expect that this should be somehow defined for the download packages and not the table itself, as the link directly to a download package could also appear elsewhere, and should also trigger a login-and-redirect-back if necessary.
I have the WPDM directory add on installed. I have made archive page with search field and catagory select.
Now my customer is asking if the catagory name can be displayed in the list with all downloads. Not only in breadcrumbs.
Also does the customer prefer accordion display. Can i use accordion add on together with directory add on.
Page has to look something like this.

The Packages we have managed to upload and used a CSV file – however, there are still issues with fields; specifically ‘Tags’ which are not working?
1. we had issues with updating from wpdm 6.1.4 to 6.1.5 (so you reverted to 6.1.4) – the version now is wpdm 6.1.7 – can we safely update?!
There were issues with the theme design and also we are unable to run the plugin for Paid Memberships Pro – we have had to ‘deactivate’ but would like it to work!?
2. Ordering – managing ordering after uploading the downloads through shortcodes parameters – please see: https://nfpsoccer.co.uk/test-sort-1/
Whilst there is a very basic filter for ordering it does not ‘sort’ by numbering / title (we have tried adding a prefix (numbering or letter A,B,C) to the file name to help but that doesn’t do it!

b) how do we ‘style’ this page to give it a design presentation in keeping with the rest of the site?

sorry for the delay, I am using a theme builder (pro by theme.co)
I sent a ticket in to those guys as well and they have responded with;
‘you need to reach out to the developer of the downloads manager plugin and mention that the menu is changing or overriding the menu on the downloads page.‘
This site is several years old, and worked ok originally, at some point the menu has broken but just when you click a category.
Any help would be appreciated.

This has highlighted a real issue with the WP Download Manager Pro downloads – it really needs an
archive of all previous versions, rather than just the latest version. We’ve had to hold back a
version of WP Download Manager Pro because of breaking changes in later versions and we’d like
to bisect exactly which version caused our problem and then we can report it. Not being able
to download intermediate versions means we can’t do that (or even move to the last working
version before the breakage).
Hi there, how can I change the template used inside each category folder (WPDM directory add-on)? About the upload size issue, some other plugins may be conflicting. Please try after disabling other third-party plugins.

Regarding the Downloads > All Packages and click on a package (any package) issue.
I have checked your website, and it appears that several files are not loading from your server and throwing 500 (Internal Server Error).

Here is what you can do to check:
1. Please try switching to another theme, like Twenty Twenty-one, and check whether the issue persists or not. If not, then it is the theme that is causing the error.
2. Deactivate all plugins temporarily except WPDM and see if that solves the problem. Then, activate plugins one by one to see which plugin is causing the problem.
3. Try one more time after clearing your browser, website, and CDN caches if you have any. You may temporarily disable the caching plugin for testing.
If the problem still exists, please get in touch with your server admin regarding the 500 (Internal Server Error).

About two months ago, I started having trouble uploading certain PDFs to our website. I found that by reducing the size, they would upload. Now I cannot get anything to upload, despite reduced size.
Additionally, when I go to Downloads > All Packages and click on a package (any package), the page is always “thinking” and never fully loads, just keeps performing TLS handshake, waiting, and transferring data. Can someone help me with this, please?

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve already tried using the sample.csv but this was the cause of the problems in my initial post.
I had uploaded my downloads into the media manager and then linked to them in the ‘files’ column in the csv file. You then pointed out that this is why my downloads are opening as attachments rather than downloading to the user’s computer.
You said that the way around this is to use the ‘select from server’ button, but unless I’ve misunderstood, this would mean I can’t bulk upload using the csv file.
Essentially my question is: is it possible to bulk upload through a csv file while ensuring that any files will be downloaded rather than opening as an attachment?

You have to use the parameter orderby to sort the downloads.
you can sort by title, download_count, date, modified ( update date ), or id, it’s an optional parameter.
for id parameter, if you want to show multiple categories, in case of multiple category slugs, should be separated by a comma.

If you click on the button Download and enter the correct password, you will still see “Please enter the correct password” – although
the download was successful! But people don’t know that they already have 3-4 downloads on their PC’s because after each download, they still see the text “Please enter the correct password”!
