I had the free version installed, and this morning upgraded to Pro so that I can see download stats. In the download package, the only plugin that would install correctly was “wpdm-m24x.zip”. The three other files in the download (download-manager-3.3.8.zip, download-manager-4.1.4.zip and expo.zip) would not install. However, the plugin seemed to be working ok, as long as I kept the original free plugin activated. Please advise if there was something I should have done differently.
According to the documentation, that stats should appear under the “downloads” section of my dashboard. But my dashboard does not have “downloads” listed. I can’t seem to find the stats under any of the choices. Screenshots of my dashboard and also my plugins page attached.
I am a novice and WordPress and plugins, so please be gentle! Any help is appreciated. 🙂
Hello,
I’ve created a package with two documents in it. I want one of them to be password protected, and the other one not to be password protected.
I’ve added a password [12345] in the box next to the file I want password protected, but I can still download it without the password.
I am allowing individual file downloads.
If I enable password lock under “lock options”, this adds a password to ALL the files, so this isn’t what I want.

On a slightly different note, I also need to make it so that users CAN’T download a zip of all the files in that package – they HAVE to download them individually (so that only those with access to the password protected file can get it, but everyone can get the publicly available files) – is this possible? If so, how do I achieve this?
Actually, looking more closely, it looks like the columns are shifted one to the left. The “Title” column actually shows the numbers of download, the Downloads column shows the shortcode etc. Image attached.
Thanks again

Hello, In /templates/link-template-default-icon.php can I change [file_size] to show the package size of all downloads in the collection?
Ok,
I’ve got wpdm installed and all my mp3’s uploaded. What do I have to do to get this to link to feedburner for my podcasting? I have this page setup with the categories: http://bethelharvestchurch.com/downloads/podcasts/ But because its not XML, I can’t get it work.
thoughts?
I created a ‘file list’ of both links and downloads. I really like the file list, but it looks weird when you have it linking to a webpage, rather than downloading a document. Is it possible to change the word ‘download’ to ‘link’ in limited cases?
Can someone please tell me how to have one download per line other than the [wpdm_package id="package-id-here"] short code?
I would like to list all downloads in a category, one per line as in [wpdm_category id="my-slug-name" template="see below"].
How can I change my link template to do this? Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
<div class=”media-body”>
[icon]
<div class=”media-body”>
<h4 class=”media-heading” style=”padding-top: 0px;border:0px;margin: 0px;”>[title]</h4>
[download_link] <i style=”margin: 2px 0 0 5px;opacity:0.5 class=”icon icon-th-large”></i> [file_size] <i style=”margin: 2px 0 0 5px;opacity:0.5″ class=”icon icon-download-alt”></i>
</div>
</div>
<div style=”clear: both; padding: 20px; 20px;”></div>
This plugin does not have any configuration. So after installing there is no setting.
The downloads still do not show up in the feeds. How do i get it to show?
2. What is the direct url to the download feed?
Hi.
I bought and installed the WordPress Download Manager Pro Special Pack a while ago, version 4.1.2.
I missed out the 4.1.3, now there is the version 4.1.4.
Where am I supposed to download it? It’s not in my account/downloads.
Thank you.
all package: /plugins/download-manager/wpdm-all-downloads.php
my downloads: /plugins/wpdm-custom-access-level/wpdm-my-downloads.php
Could you tell me which files I have to look in order to customize it (for example, the files for wpdm-all-packages and wpdm_my_downloads)?
The reported problem happens most times on internal files. We have only the newest files on aws. But the people report that it happen on internal downloads and also on aws downloads. I tried myself on the customer computer and it really happens on both download locations.
What about the time a download is valid? Maybe a session? We have around 100 MB files. And we limit the download to 100 k/bit. So a download may can download some time. MAybe the timing in WDM is for small downloads?
Thank you for the quick reply, Shaon!
We are indeed currently using the [wpdm_my_downloads] shortcode for the end user’s experience, but this does not allow for administration without being logged in as that user. What we need is to be able to query (as administrator) ANY given user’s list, like [wpdm_my_downloads user=”johnsmith”]. Is this possible?
Thanks again~
“Short-code to list All Packages in a tabular format:”
here it is http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/#datatable
if you want to list the user specific packages, you can use the short-code [wpdm_my_downloads]
( available with Advanced Access Control Add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-access-control/ )
Still download manager still won’t allow any downloads if you have a password. Looking at the program working I don’t see anything happen when I press return at end of entering password. I wonder if that final CR is being received as it seems to just sit there as though I was still typing in the password. Just a thought.
Hi,
I’d like to add a table with all downloads available for a registered user.
I’ve looked at this page: http://newlook.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/
I need “Short-code to list All Packages in a tabular format:” but I don’t find it…
My page would look like this page: http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/all-downloads/
Could you please give me the good shortcode (and the complete list of shortcodes available for Download Manager Pro) ?
Thanks !
I have installed 4.1.4 (disabling 4.1.3 first and then overwriting folder).
Pdf downloads still have big issues.
if a pdf file is loaded in the download page the full #content display this error:
“-dname= must be followed by a valid token”
Another error, related to [wpdm_frontend] shortcode, after clicking “create package” display a blank page with this txt:
{“result”:”_ap_wpdm”,”id”:299}
In this case i need to refresh the page or go “back” on browser window to get back to frontend upload system. The download is there but the error is very annoying.
Of course changes Id for every new download/package, i tried with multiple file extensions (jpg, png, doc, docx, odt, pdf and other)
Hope all this info’s will help to solve issues both for me and for all your other customers.
I have found in last week the file manager won’t allow any downloads if you have set a password. Works fine if no password so somehow not recognising when we type in correct password. Not sure if related to shortcode issue but try switching off the password and see if it solves your problem.
Btw. shortcodes worked now but even if i set a password to all my packages everybody can download and open without entering a password ? Why ?
Where ist the pagination and how to put a search box for downloads in front end on a page ?
Thx for your replys
Next question – whenever i call the page via mydomain/?wpdmcategory=…. all downloads are not password protected even i set them ?! Why is it poosible to open the document ?
Hey,
I’m working on a site for client and I’m using WPDM Pro with WPDM Directory Add-on, however it’s not really working as it should. Text is out of place, there are many, many strange whitespaces out of nowhere. I’m quite experienced with CSS and I tried many different things before I made this topic. I’d be glad if you could help me out here.
Also, is there a way to quickly remove this:
#wpdm-downloads * {
font-size: 10pt;
}
It seems to be hardcoded.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT
I found the source of evil. But I have no idea how to fix it. Somehow whole Archive page is getting wrapped with <pre>
tag and it’s destroying whole layout. Any ideas?
