Solved: Actually, there is a pretty simple workaround to set a “default” page template when creating a download package. This only works if you have one “individual file” download page that you would like to use.
1. Go into the /download-manager/templates/ directory, find the “templates” directory.
2. Copy all the “page” templates that you DONT want to your desktop for safekeeping.
3. Delete all the “page” templates in the templates directory EXCEPT the one that you want to use.
4. When you go back to the main menu and select “templates”, and hit the “Pages” tab, only the one you wanted now shows -right?
If you want to edit that…
5. Clone that baby, make all the changes you want, then save.
6. Follow steps 1-4 to make your changed file the only one that appears
