Hello, i think i will ultimately need to use an older version of the plugin. i have reached out to the support team of wp courseware to see if they can offer an update or setting adjustment that will allow for the short codes to function properly. I have not recieved a response from that team yet.

Hello! yes i am pushing statistics into google analytics via event scripts. We have the scripts functional and they are correctly funneling information into the google anatlytics account for files that are not housed within the download manager plugin. the scripts are looking for an extension within the url of the download. if the its a pdf we collect the extension and categorize them in google analtyics by extension type. The download manager seems to offer up the download but the looks like there are tokens used to mask the download and the actual path of the file is not given. which makes the above mentioned script report “not set” as the category in google analytics. Is there a way or a setting to have the downloads button give the actual download path to the file so we can get the extension and pass that into analytics with our script? i have chosen to unmask downloads in the settings of the plugin but that did not seem to alter anything on the front end. any help is greatly appreciated 🙂
