Thanks!
One last question – can we limit access in the S3 file browser to only one bucket and not show all other buckets in the account?
Thanks Nayeem,
Regarding #2, I meant that currently, I can let users download all files in a package as one zip archive. Would this still be possible if the individual files in a package were hosted in S3?
Thanks Nayeem,
I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind.
1. In the documentation, you say I can sync the hosted files to AWS. But will they still be linked to the same packages I have them linked to currently? Or do I have to manually link them to the packages after pushing files to the bucket?
2. Is there no option to offer “Download All” files as a zip when using Amazon? Is there no workaround for that?
3. Is it the same Asset Manager that is used to browse hosted files? Can you limit access to specified buckets and not show all?
Yes, I have done that
Allow Access is empty.
The only thing I can think of is when I first published the package I had both Allow Access and Select Members fields with some users, then I realised it should be only one, so I have changed it and updated it. Is it possible that because of that first publish action it somehow stored it in the DB so even if I changed it now it’s not working?
Actually, ignore the above. I have created a new package and I got the same problem, even though I deselected Allow Access before publishing it.
OK, thank you, I thought that was the case.
When do you estimate you would add that functionality to amazon hosted files? Is this already scheduled in the upcoming releases or rather further down the line?
