I have followed the tutorial but it does not resolve the issue I think this is not about the download limit exceeding. Because it is showing ‘Limit Over’ message, not ‘Download Limit Exceeded’.

There is no option like Packages, and in the Settings tab, there is no option to set the Download Limit either.

Here, the download manager is working fine as it is using the previous version of the download manager, we have upgraded the version of WPDM on our staging site which cannot be accessed externally but as I explained above the difference between the download links of the two is causing the issue.

we have not set any other directory for the files, if WPDM has anything to store files other than the download-manager-files folder then let us know.
This issue pertains to the upgrade activity of the plugin as the same files are accessible with the previous version of the plugin but after the upgrade activity, this plugin is unable to find various files and shows a ‘File Not Found’ Error message.
This is not a satisfactory response for dealing with this issue. First, theme change is never a good thing in the case of a fully fledge customized WordPress theme, as well as disabling the plugins is also not an appropriate option. And we are APEX Regulators, our website needs a quick fix for this issue as this cannot be tolerated any longer.

Where the files can be saved other than download-manager-files??
As told earlier in another related thread of Missing Packages, this is not possible in any case to give any login credentials. I think you should provide some legit solution to this issue as I can see a lot of other users are also facing the same. Kindly share the email address of the support forum so that this matter may be taken up on emails for necessary actions.
This issue can cause serious troubles which cannot be tolerated any longer, why the simple version upgrade affected the main functionality?
Miscellaneous types of document are present on the website from which many have gone missing most of them are PDFs as far as we have encountered.
I cannot understand the need to ask for credentials for a website. Kindly provide us with a permanent solution to this problem as we have been using this plugin for so long. Still, now I can see other users are also facing the same issue and this can become a sensitive issue for our website which cannot be tolerated. If the problem persists, then sadly we would have to look for some alternatives.

But just after upgrading my files got missing. What can be the root cause for this?
