i had the same problem
my serveur was full and all uploads seems to work but the downlaod didn’t work

check your free space on your server may be ?

in the WPDM search widgets i set up a search page with search as title

with the [wpdm-search-page] short code on it
for example when i use the widgjet and search “London” the result is :

and when i open directly the page http://bootleg-depeche-mode.fr/?page_id=1270 the search doesn’t work too

when i upload the files, everything seems ok, but in the pacakges the size of the files doesn’t mach
NB i’m still with wp 3.5.2 because there is no update for wpdm at the moment

should desactive all the DM plugins then update to 3.3.8 and in a second time re activate all the others plugins

the file php.ini must be set in the p-admin directory, not at the root of the site
