Ok that’s fine. I think what I will do is make sure the files have different names before upload. I can do a batch rename on them.
Thanks!
UPDATE: I found the problem. The theme has a page transition function, if I disable this it works!
The pagination is also not working. The initial page (1) loads, but if you click the page number buttons the pages do not load correctly.
Sorry to chase but this is a live project, would really appreciate a response to this latest question at your earliest convenience.
It seems as though it’s using the shortcode, [file_list_extended_3x64x64]
Is it possible to show the image thumbs here?
Brilliant, thank you!
That’s great, thanks Shahriar!
Do you know why this template ( Single Column, Image Top, Extended ) is not showing the thumbnails of the files within the package? This is just the original template, I have not cloned it to add [file_thumb_0]
yet.

Hi Shahriar,
A while ago you helped me with some custom code to make the packages use one of the contained images as a thumbnail by default (see above). This works on the directory (link template?) view, but can it be made to do the same thing on the individual package pages (page template?) as well?
Also, is there a way to change the page template that new packages use by default? It would be good to choose globally, rather than having to set it for individual packages each time.
Thanks!
Yes I get that. I just wondered if now I have put that script in, it would work even if the icon code were put back. But it doesn’t really matter 😀
Thanks Shahriar!
That is very odd! I have a Pro account for Font Awesome and have now added a script to include the library… not sure if that would help?
Ok great, thank you.
Sorry Shahriar but this is still not working. I have now been made Team Admin on Dropbox and have deleted the old app and created a new one. I still don’t get the Option 4 you mentioned above and I am still only shown the contents of my own ‘Luther Davies’ folder when I try to select files from Dropbox.
Is it not possible to access the root Dropbox directory or ‘Files’ area with this interface?
Is it possible to put thumbnail view for cloud storage images in as a feature request?
Ok. I need thumbnails so I think I’ll have to revert to FTP / bulk import for now
I am not the team admin – I will contact them or get the necessary privileges.
I have another question: will images from Dropbox folders show as thumbnails in the WPDM front end interface? Or just list of files?
I don’t have a 4th step at all – it looks like this:
Sorry Shahriar, I wasn’t clear.
When I click the ‘Select from Dropbox’ folder it shows me only the contents of my own team folder, whereas I need to select folders / files from the root.
This is the folder that is shown:
But I need the files from here:
When I set up the API connection I did select Permission Type: Full Dropbox, so how can I get to the root directory from the WPDM interface?
Actually I think you’re suggestion with the Dropbox folder as a package will work.
I have followed the instructions to create a Dropbox app and input all the credentials, however when I click the ‘Select from Dropbox’ button it shows me this (see screenshot below). How can I access the files in Dropbox..?
Ok. Is there any other cloud storage solution from which a bulk import can be done?
That’s great thanks! Is it also possible to bulk import from Dropbox (after integrating them via the API)?
Thanks
Done!
Thanks again 🙂
Fantastic!!!
Where is the best place to leave a review of your software? Because I feel as though I have received exceptional support here 🙂
Shahriar – thank you once again!
I noticed that when I upload a file into a package, the system cleverly ascertains what type of file it is and chooses an appropriate icon. E.g. PDF has the red box with Acrobat logo.
To finish off this fallback system nicely, is it possible to fallback to this icon, when even a post thumbnail is not selected?
This means that if the user does nothing, SOME image is always shown for a package.
Thank you!
