Yes that works now!

What was the issue? It would be good to know the fix as we have a Pro licence and other sites that may need it.

Hi there,

I am trying to enable the Chunk Upload setting, but if I check this and click ‘save settings’, the little progress cog on the save button appears and nothing further happens. I tried a different setting on the user interface tab and it works, so it seems to be the chunk upload button specifically that’s causing a problem.

Thanks,

Ok the htaccess fix has worked. I needed to refresh the admin page.

That is a brilliant feature, thank you!

I do have one question. If files are uploaded directly into a Download Package (not into Media Library first), are they also protected in a similar way?

Yes, 5.05 seems to work for me too and fixes the issue. I updated manually via FTP.

I’m having this issue too โ€“ frontend okay, WP Admin extremely slow with plugin enabled.

Hi there,

I have a slight issue with the custom [file_thumb_0] shortcode. It doesn’t seem to fall back to the package icon on the listing page. Does the code need updating in line with plugin updates?

I will share login details by private reply so you can see.

Hi Nayeem,

Thanks for the update, I will contact them. Do you know what these resources are that are not being found? png.png and admin-ajax.php โ€“ are they part of the Download Manager plugin?

Thanks,

I have tried zipping the file with the same result, so it doesn’t seem to be the file type that is the issue…

Thanks Abdus!

I’m using WPBakery Page Builder so I don’t think I can use the shortcode creator ๐Ÿ™

Which part of that short code controls the left menu style?

Right now I have this:

[wpdm-archive button_style="default" category="office-depot" cat_view="extended" button_style="secondary" link_template="5dd3e1fd29e40" order_by="title" order="asc" items_per_page="10" cols="2"]

Which looks like this:

But I’d like to try it with the menu that has the little folder icons on the left…

Hi Shahriar,

I have an update on this.

I disabled the theme lazy loading option and instead used a plugin called WPMU Dev Smush. The same thing occured whereby the 48x48px thumbnails disappeared, but this plugin has an option to exclude certain IDs, classes or URLs. I’ve disabled it on the /download/ slug so the thumbs are not affected, but it is working on the main Directory view.

This seems to get around the slow loading problem, but I will have to see how it performs when we add more packages.

Do you think in the future a frontend might be possible that uses ‘actual’ pagination, rather than loading all packages at once?

Thanks,
Luther

Hi Shahriar you should be able to log in now with those details.

I have activated lazy loading which has helped, but I’m worried about the scalability as I will need to add a lot more files.

Thanks,
Luther
