I was able to get everything imported. I did nothing different than previous attempts, except installed the latest version. Thanks for your patience – I guess it was an issue with the last version.

I just ran the updater (for the new version of WPDM), I’m able to import a few of the directories that I was unable to import last week. I will try them all again and report back.

Folders are all set to 755
All the files I need to add are set to 644

The fact that some import correctly and some do not even with the same permissions makes me believe the plugin doesn’t work flawlessly OR there’s another factor that isn’t clear. Final size limits? File naming conventions? You’d probably know better than me since it’s your plugin.

The FTP provided to you brings you into the root directory for the Silhouette website.

@Shaon – So what’s the next move? We need to have these files imported and bought the plugin expecting the bulk importer to function as advertised.

@Shaon – I would have to check, but I deleted everything because you said to clear it out. I had imported 2k+ files in the exact same way and a majority of the ones I checked were resulting in the file not found text file, whereas others did work. This leads me to believe that the bulk importer is a bit odd and doesn’t work every time, even when it shows the green import text.

I really can’t import 2K files and then manually check every single file to ensure the bulk importer did it’s job right, that would be pretty counter productive.

@Shaon – I am not sure what to make of this. I imported 2000+ files in the exact same way. All of these files have been in the same place long before we began using this plugin. I used the bulk importer for every single file and it created a post in the Downloads custom post type for each file – none of these posts were made manually.

How is it that some work and some (most) do not work? I don’t mind trying to reimport everything again but clearly there is a bug somewhere in the process because none of the files have been moved as you had suggested.

@Shaon – The files are exactly where they were when I imported them. They have not been moved. The importer changed the paths to the files the root folder from the actual location of the folder.

@Shaon Sure, it is here: http://whatasweet.website/dev/silhouette/\

All files were uploaded using the same method (bulk importer by folder/directory on server), a few of the files seem to work fine whereas others do not.

Working: http://whatasweet.website/dev/silhouette/file/ac-400-disc-hinge-adjustment-tool-instructions-pdf/
Not Working: http://whatasweet.website/dev/silhouette/file/2505-1-coordinates-pdf/

When I go to the editor for a non-working file, I notice the path it’s trying to use is the root directory, instead of where the actual file is on the server (even though the bulk importer was successful and the bulk importer indicates the file was imported via green text)

I’m having this same problem. My files are in folders on server, I went to bulk import, navigated to those folders, imported, import looked successful. However, it’s trying to download the files from the root directory it looks like, which is not where I had them and not where I want them (we have 2,000+ files and can’t have them in the root directory)

Is it OK to jump on this thread or should I make my own for the same issue?
