Thanks. I happened to fix it with the help of another (more recent) topic on this forum. I found some new template tags.

Only I don’t understand why the default (shipped) templates don’t work either, but that is less of a problem.

A re-install didn’t solve the issue either.
Also, the template previews all broke. They show as a solid background-colored rectangle.

Same here. What to do now?
