@Ravenswood
I always download the last version I have before updating, just in case.
I did attempt to follow the instructions that @Shafayet suggested in the multisite setup; however, this actually does not work: creating new folders for the files to live in inside each /site folder caused the main /download-manager-files folder to break.
We also cannot duplicate out the original folder with all downloadable items in it: it was over 3,000 files across 40 sites!
Our subsites didn’t work at all, by the way. Only our main site, which was drawing from the already in place /download-manager-files/ folder that sits outside of /sites folder.
We also have this issue after updating to the latest version yesterday. Also working in a multisite environment. There were no instructions to do something different to make this version work with multisite, so please advise what to do to fix. We’ve been running the pro version of this plugin for several years on multisite and have never had to do anything different to update it.
THanks,
We also newly have this issue after updating to the latest version yesterday. Please advise.
We also run multisite, and I thought I saw some directions in someone else’s post on a new way you have to install for multisite… this is important to know, please advise what you’re suppose to do with that kind of set up.
Thank you.
An update:
I did a clear cache in the settings of WPDM, and it cleaned out some of these images, although not all of them.
Additional details:
we run a multisite environment, and I noticed that there are images from across the network in that cache folder.
We also run an image optimizing plugin called Kraken.io
Not sure if any of that information is relevant, I’m just trying to figure out why the cache folder in WPDM has images in it at all.
4.7.1 is still causing the disappearing plugin issue. We just tested this update in our staging environment and it again makes the plugin folder disappear and exposes all of the plugin’s shortcodes on the site.
Does a manual update (via FTP) make the update work? Or should we wait until this is resolved (again)?
Same problem here, the entire plugin is now gone and all the shortcodes used to display the download items are shown on the frontend since the plugin is gone. I tested it on a staging environment, so I’m fine waiting for the update.
The license key is still not working for us on a site we are building. It’s the same key though we have on other sites and it works fine on those sites. Please help.
Thanks!
Thanks for the response.
I’ve input the new license number into one of our sites and it says it works.
However, I went to update the license on the next site and it still gives me an invalid license error. Is there a specific way I need to set up the developer licensing to have it work correctly so a license can sit on each of our multi sites?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Tara
Hi Shahriar,
just checking back with you on getting our new license active. We have sites that are not working because we are waiting on this license fix.
Thank you.
Hi Shahriar-
thanks for the link. Is the total between the upgrade fee and what I’ve already paid ($45) suppose to equal out to the Developer pricing of $210? If so, the total should be $165, not the $175 that’s showing on that link. Please advise.
I also have this issue but after upgrading the plugin to version 4.5.4. I’ve gone to my download area under my account and retrieved my license key and pasted it in and it’s giving me an invalid license key message.
Hi Shahriar,
where can we get the patch when it’s ready? We have this error sitting on a live site on the homepage, so I want to make sure to get the update as soon as possible!
Thank you.
I’m eventually building out 35 subdomains to my network (all related in content, but different mapped sub-domains nonetheless). From what I understand on your pricing sheet, we need the developer license to activate in all sites/subsites. I thought this was needed because our sites are no longer accepting the license key from my original purchase. Perhaps it’s a different problem? Every site I attempt to apply the key to it says license invalid.
Hi Shaon,
we also have a similar error on line 85 on our site after updating to the latest version:
Warning: array_shift() expects parameter 1 to be array, boolean given in /nas/content/live/vancouverps/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/class.Package.php on line 85
Please advise how to fix.
You need to visit your account and download the 4.4 version. We use FTP to upload to the site (delete old plugin folder for WPDM first).
PS: this DID work to fix the drop down issue!
Disregard my last question on how (I missed your instruction in the post above. I disabled it. What functionality will we be missing (if any)? Thank you!
Please advise of the procedure to disable it and I will definitely give that a try. What functionality does that eliminate though without the bootstrap js running?
Hello,
I spoke with our hosting to see if the server was indeed blocking the .js file; they actually informed me that
http://vancouverps.s…ad-manager/js/jquery.cookie.js is getting a 500 error because “download-manager” doesn’t exist on the server… However
“download-manager-3″http://vancouverps.s…-manager-3/js/jquery.cookie.js works. The plugin file name changed from download-manager to download-manager-3…
Is this an error in the update and can it be fixed?
Thanks!
Hello, here is the URL. The issue is on any page we use the Download Manager short codes on… the drop down main navigation menu does not work.
http://vancouverps.staging.wpengine.com/documents-forms/
If you click on any other page in our site, you’ll see the drop downs will work.
Thanks.
