Nayeem

I’m so sorry, but I still dont’ understand.
Are you saying, that right now, there is no means to allow us to assign Downloads to a category?
So let’s say Wallmart used your plugin. And they had these PDF docs.

But they needed to see them for their Staff, and then for Store, and then for Deliveries.
Is there no way at all, that we can let the Member login to their dashboard, and filter, to just see the PDF docs for Deliveries???

When the user goes to their dashboard, yes, I would like them to be able to view all their downloads, but then to clikc the Categories assigned. IE if they have a Farm, and 5 Downlaods are assigned to the Farm category, they can see only the downloads to Farm.

I accept Farm would be used by more than one Package or user, but THEIR downloads assigned to Farm, shoudl then be seen.
Make sense?

Sorry I don’t know why you are sending me that.
I don’t see the assigned category in the user’s Downloads page.

I need help on that please, to see if I can filter their downloads by Category.

I can see how to assign – but I don’t see it on their front end for the Test User – can you advise please?

Sorry I am confused.
I think our client would like to be able to create a category (that we can use for others too), and then assign the donwloads to said category. Such as thise I sent. Won’t of course have 50 for Farm. Jus tone for farm, and can then assign it to Farm Category, so when the user goes in, they may see Farm as a category, with only their Downloads.

Possible?

While I am looking at the users’ downloads – can they be split into Categories?

IE
Farm
Office
Staff

Then assign the downlaods to those categories?

Ok thanks. Does make life slightly more difficult, but not too much more.
Just makes the “Role” part seem somewhat pointless.
Tho I may use the role part genrally for Companies.

I can see all users are in the list.
May I please ask the purpose of having both Roles and Members?

Surely if you can assign to Roles, then all users in that roles list, would be assigned. Else you have to assign Role AND Members, which seems duplication.

Is it not possible to assign it solely to Role, so you can assign members to that role, and they automcailly get access to the downloads?

that’s not what I mean.

Is it like a Car filteR:

Filter Ford, and you only get Ford cars.
If you select Company 1, does it only search for Company 1 members in the list below that?

Ok question arises from that:
When you select Allow Access and choose the Role, does that reveal only those users within that role?

Or *all* users globally on the system?

Hi
We have a problem.
I’ve setup a Test User on the account.
Assigned them to the Company (role).
Uploaded a document and published it to that Role.
But it’s now showing in their downloads.
I’ll send you a Private Reply with their login, to see if you can take a look for me please.

Thanks.

Ok yes I get that.
Create a New Package.
Call it something.
Assign to Member Role.
Uplaod bulk files.
May I Ask, in the Downloads section for that user (viewing as a Member Role), do they see all files. IE. If it is for Health and Safety, do they click the Health and SAfety Package, and then view all their downloads?

Is it kind of treated like a CAtegory to the company?
Very smart if “yes”…..

Sorry?
My client has maybe 50 files she wants to uplaod them all, and assign them to a user role.
CSV doesn’t come into it. She just wants to upload… assign, done.

Sorry I don’t really understand it.
I don’t see the Bulk Import window in my site, sorry.

Hi. not sure what you mean.
Our client wants to be able to bulk upload their PDFs… then assign them to the User Role (rather than to the user specifically).

I don’t know if Packages makes it easier, I’m sure you can tell me.

Thanks

Done. I added a Members plugin. Created “Company 1” and Test User, and assign Test User to Company 1.

How do I then bulk upload Docs and assign them all to Company 1, is one simple action please?

79DESIGN

No. We can create a user within WP as standard.
But ideally wish we could create a Role, assign the user to the role, and assign the Downloads to that Role.

So you have multiple users for one company.
The Company is the Role.
Docs assigned to company.

Do you know a simple way to do that? Since your plugin already assigns to Roles, do you know a free way to create multiple roles???

79DESIGN

No.
I want to upload say 100 documents, and then apply those to one person please.
Ideally I wish I could create a Company role, and assign them to a company. And then assign the user to that Role.
CAn that be done?

I know how to add images in bulk, as I did that in our Downloads area.
But how do I do that, and then assign them to the user, in bulk? IE if I add 150 files, and they are in Packages, I can’t filter by what I just added.

Thank you.

But yes, that’s it. Don’t know what I was doing wrong. So is it all controlled form one shortcode, or do I need one for the login page?

Also, i take it there is no link I can use for Logout. They can only do it via thatr Logout link in that Profile menu?
