When you are downloading using download manager, php handles the download process, so it sometimes affected by server settings for php, like php execution time limit, output buffering, sometimes you may need to increase execution time limit at your php confutation file in your server. But in case of direct download, there are no intermediary php processor, server simply deliver the file content directly through http.

I’ve checked in details, I assure you, wpdm is not clearing $_FILE array at all anywhere. They need to recheck their code and search for exact reason. Probably they need to check the library they used for uploading images. Sorry, we really don’t have anything to do with this issue from wpdm side.

2. Download latest version again
3. Install and active the latest version.

Deleting old plugin will not harm your existing data.

Please update to wpdm pro v4.4, it will be ok.

speed should not be affected, but response time may increase due to stamping process, and pdf stamper bypassed resume process, as we thought, pdf files is not that large to be required to pause in middle of download process.

Sorry, that is not possible for locked files, for unprotected package you can show pdf preview of first file, but not of all. However it is doable, but will require customization in code.

I see you renamed plugins folder to download-manager-2, which should be  download-manager.

Please delete and reinstall again. It should work fine except some files were not uploaded properly in your server.

That is a false warning, wordfence searching for “eval” function, but we are using there actually “doubleval” which is matching with their search, please check the screenshot:
