Nayeem. The file from the link you gave has the file name ‘download-manager-5.3.8’ which is the filename of the previous version. If the file is version 5.3.9 then please rename the file to 5.3.9 and put an end to this confusion.
Thanks Nayeem, however the zip that’s downloaded is showing the filename version number 5.3.8 not 5.3.9.
Your reply doesn’t help us at all sorry.
“you can update the future releases right from your plugins page.” – Which is exactly how we got this malicious code from you.
Sharon.
Deactivate and delete the old version. Then upload the new version of the plugin and activate it. None of your data will be lost.
Well in my opinion you fell well short of that here.
Will you at least push an update of a virus free version for those that are unaware that they are running malicious code from your app?
That’s really not good enough. This is a paid app. We pay your company not make those mistakes.
What do we tell people infected by this or those who are unable to visit our websites because they were blocked by malware checkers?
This damages our reputation.
I have both copies of the download zip, one from last night and one from just now.
The infected zipped file has just been removed by you guys. last night’s zip file contained the infected file.
Are you trying to cover this up?
Looks like this change has been made to obfuscate the problem.
I downloaded the file from my downloads page of your server last night and the /default/pack.zip file is definitely there.
The version is also 5.0.92
(/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/assets/css/themes/default/pack.zip)
This is the same file that was flagged on my website. The warning was triggered after a plugin update.
I’m also using the paid version.
I’ve just tried to download the latest version from my download page and that download was blocked with a ‘Virus Detected’ message.
What is happening?
Sorry I marked it as solved as I just removed the link code from ‘Login Required Message’ setting box. I suspect I messed up the a href. The one that works has some odd \ which I’m not sure is right. What should a simple login link look like for that box?
Thanks for your help.
No. I can change the button easy. The text link which links to the download’s page has been changed in this update. The font size is much larger and it’s displayed as a very bright blue. I want to change the colour and size of text link please.
Following: I have the same problem.
I’ve found it now thanks.
Thanks for your very prompt help.
Rolled back and and working as before.
I’ll update when I have a little more time to look at the heading size issue.
Thanks – Can I just upload it or will I need to delete it first?
