Thanks so much Shahriar, I’ve confirmed that it is working now as it should.
I appreciate you applying the patch to my site in advance of the broader update. Hope this is not an issue for others.
Cheers!
Great! However, in the meantime anyone who orders is unable to download? I can’t imagine that my scenario – not requiring guest registration in order to download a stamped PDF – is that uncommon for your users. Has this been brought up elsewhere as an issue?
Is there a workaround in the meantime that maintains the stamped PDF? I suppose requiring registration is one workaround, but would prefer not to.
Thanks for addressing this.
Scott
Good morning. Just checking in, do you have an idea of when the update will be ready?
Have a good day today, thanks for the help.
Scott
Thanks for not giving up on me!
Cheers!
Guest Orders without login was working before the update. Here is a screengrab. Thanks for your thoughts.
Scott
Thanks Victoria, I am also having this issue. I have reset the package # downloads/user, cleared computer and site cache, still get the expired-link.txt file. Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks for the help.
Scott
Hasibul, thanks for your help with this. Any thoughts on the expired link? I thought it was because of email overuse, but I tried clearing cache and checking out with a new email and I still get the expired link message instead of the actual pdf.
Cheers, I appreciate you helping to close this ticket out.
Scott
Thanks Hasibul for working on it. Not sure why you decided to change the settings to point to purchases after the order, would you explain? It produced the attached errors. I only allow for guest checkout, so I have changed that to orders. I have gone through a test transaction, which seems to pull up the download, but I get an expired link message. Please let me know your thoughts.
Scott
I’m sorry, I saw those pages. However why would the shortcode not be working on pages created before the update?
http://scottkolbe.com/cart/orders/
Thanks.
Scott
Has the shortcode changed between the previous and current versions? It appears during the update that “purchases” and “guest orders” pages were created with the following shortcode:
[wpdmpp-guest-orders] (versus [wpdm-pp-guest-orders])
[wpdmpp_purchases] versus [wpdm-pp-purchases])
The new pages allow you to retrieve and associate an order, however it throws the following error when you try to download:
Fatal error: Class ‘Order’ not found in /home/scottkolbe/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/class.Stats.php on line 16
Hope this helps.
Scott
Good morning. Any updates on why this shortcode is not displaying the guest orders page on my site? Let me know if you need any access other than what I’ve already given in order to troubleshoot. Purchasers are currently not able to retrieve the stamped pdf available for download from the guest orders page.
Thanks for the help.
Scott
I’ve checked the CPanel error logs for all sites on the hostgator reseller site, and none of them have error logs listed.
If there is somewhere else you’d like me to look, please let me know.
Thanks for the help.
Scott
Thanks for the heads up! So that includes the cart.php file, for example? I did what you suggested above, and it didn’t seem to reflect the changes, even after clearing cache.
Have a good weekend.
Scott
Shahriar, I believe I understand what you were probably telling me all-along, sorry it took so long.
Today I implemented the full registration, with register, login, and dashboard pages. That eliminated the issue with registration redirecting to the WordPress login page. Makes sense.
Still not sure why there is a WordPress black dashboard bar at the top of a logged-in user’s page? Seems odd and off, especially because they get a limited view of my WordPress backend.
So once I went down that path, I switched everything to redirect to the guest orders page, which doesn’t require registration and prepopulates with the order ID and not email address. Not sure if that’s by design or if there’s some way to just lead directly to the download. But looking through the forum posts it appears there is not. So I’m okay with that, because now all payment test scenarios seem to be resolving correctly to that page.
Thanks again for all the help, have a good rest of the week.
Possible that the theme or plugin are messing with the redirects? I’m still being redirected to the WordPress login screen from account creation. Thanks for any thoughts.
After checking out with a test credit card I am unable to get to the download page by registering. Registering redirects to the WordPress login page for the site. Logging in on the purchases page with the newly-created credentials adds a WordPress “subscriber” dashboard to the top of the browser window and doesn’t present the download. Hope this helps.
