I have a working search form – it’s very effective actually – I just wondered if there is a way to know what search terms the visitors have used or how many people have used the search function?

OK, i understand the solution – the page will still exist but access is denied. I can achieve the same result by creating a blank page template and applying it to all the downloads, hopefully the combination of removing packages from search and the blank template will solve the problem.

If I remove “All visitors” from Allow Access, then people get a “Access Denied” message even when using the direct download link?

Thank you, we currently use the direct download links on all buttons so the user is not directed to the package’s page, however the page still exists. I changed the setting to “Hide Everytyhing” but the page is still visible in an incognito window so it’s not hidden from visitors.

I can’t use a temporary download link as these packages are available to all.

Can the download page be hidden?

Maybe an example will help.

I have a healthcare charity client who make patient information available to download in this area https://www.mesothelioma.uk.com/downloadable-resources/ with buttons linked to the PDFs.

Each of those packages has a post created for it, which I want to completely hide from the visitor or ideally not have created in the first place – e.g. https://www.mesothelioma.uk.com/downloads/best-supportive-care/ – i don’t want this post to be visible to any visitor.

Wow! Something so small and simple can cause such a big headache! I think it’s caused by my creating the shortcodes in MS Word so I can easily find/replace etc and then pasting from Word – thank you< I will fix in Word and recreate – it’s also working on live.

OK, that works however I don’t see a difference between the code in the other tabs and the ones you’ve edited – it’s identical so I can’t see what the problem is? I have gone through the Investigation and Staging theme tab to

‘Assessment (incl AOS)’
‘Genomics and Biomarkers’
‘Pathology’
‘Precision oncology, Stratified and Personalised medicine’

But i haven’t copied the text to ‘Radiology’ and ‘Staging’ so they still have pages – what’s the difference in the code? What am I missing?

I don’t want to have to do this manually as there are 1500 tabs to create

Also, applying this to the live site doesn’t work at all.

The only code where it works correctly is Medical Oncology > Small Cell Lung Cancer > Scientific Principles > Aetiology and risk factors – here you can see no pages, which is what I want – I want all the packages to show on a single page, not multiple pages.

Is it only possible to show a single category or all categories with this shortcode?

e.g. I am using [wpdm_archive_filter category=”specialty-suitability” items_per_page=”10″ template=”resources” cols=1 include_children=1] and it shows the child categories only (not the parent); but if I add another category, i.e. [wpdm_archive_filter category=”specialty-suitability,cancer-type” items_per_page=”10″ template=”resources” cols=1 include_children=1] then it shows all categories and seems to ignore the setting?

Can you tell me the CSS to use? Thank you
