Good morning,
I have now succeeded.
Solution:
Upload files via Media Library (for gpx file using plugin ‘WP Extra File Types’).
Then choose ‘select from server’ in your plugin.
Select the file, which can be found under the year/month in which it was placed in the Media Library.
In this way the file can be downloaded after publication and only needs to be uploaded once.
Thank you for your advice but still not working out as hoped. We have no problem when we upload a file straight from the desktop into Download Manager, however when we move a file from the WP media library into Download manager it will then not download the file but display the content of the file. So in fact we need a forced download, not the display. I suspect we are close but we may have missed out something in the settings. The same goes for e.g. a simple JPG. It will not download, but display the picture instead. And this applies only to those files that we moved over from the WP media library….
Thank you so much for your support once again.
I might have already discovered this one.
However: Files that I select from the media library can no longer be downloaded properly after publication.
If I upload a file directly from my computer to your program, it will download correctly after publishing.
To be able to use the file in a different way, I therefore want to be able to place the directly uploaded file in my media library.
Uploading the gpx file directly into my media library fails, even though I have indicated in Download Manager Free that I can upload this file.
