Hi, thank you
All sites are running the same version of the plugin.
We canโt update to latest version for this reason:
file-not-found.txt error after update – URGENT all links broken
Thank you
Please could you report back your findings of sandbox text here for us? We don’t have a sandbox site for this site because it’s so big.
I agree that separate folders is a probably good idea going forward… but breaking the plugin without any warning and forcing customers to increase the size of their site by 6x is not the way to do it!
Thank you!
@Taracox I know, it’s insane. No warning, no advice and no support. They just break their own plugin.
They sent us a link to the old version so at least we can get our files accessible. We downgraded back to the previous version, so at least it works now:

Hope this works for you and they reply to us with a proper fix soon!
Hello,
We urgently need an answer and fix for this. 7 sites broken for 3 days, client cannot run their organisation without their files!
Also, your previous answer doesn’t explain why one sub-site works but none of the others?
cpmr-baltic.org/documents/
That sub-site doesn’t have a copy of the folder /download-manager-files/ but it still works.
IF you don’t have suitable fix, please tell me where I can download previous version urgently, so at least we can revert to the working version before this crazy change.
Thank you
+1 for this problem:
file-not-found.txt error after update – URGENT all links broken
Hi, seems to work OK thank you (but you forgot to re-activate the plugin on the network, leaving the 6 sub-sites without any downloads all weekend and client very unhappy!)
Can we update WPDM core from 4.6.6 to 4.6.7 without any problems? Or did you add some custom code to fix, that would get over-written if we do this?
Is it possible to update the plugin using your internal plugin updater yet? I know it didn’t work before. Do we still have to update manually via FTP?
Thanks
Greg
Please guys! Waiting 1 month for the correct answer now ๐ ๐ ๐ Shahriar can you find it? Thank you
Shaon,
That file does not exist. Only the file….
wpdm-multisite.php
…exists in that folder????
=====
Also, I sent an email to
customize@wpdownloadmanager.com
on 06 april, about some custom work. but have not received any reply. Please can you look into this? Thanks
Please could you let us know? Thank you
Thanks Shaon, but it seems these files were already created by your guys and placed here, as we had this page customised by WPDM.
I tried various modifications to this file
It does nothing to the front-end appearance.
Please advise? thank you

2 months and no reply…?
Hi Shahriar,
Yes. And in all other download pages on this 1 site (screenshot attached):
http://cpmr-intermed.org/fr/downloads/groupe-eau-energie/
Also, in the package edit screen, on the Attached Files meta box, we see this error instead of the attached files (French version only – English is OK):
http://cpmr.org/cpmr-intermed/wp-admin/post.php?post=2396&action=edit&lang=fr&admin_bar=1
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1480330573 bytes) in /home/cpmr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/admin/tpls/metaboxes/attached-files.php on line 22
Thanks
Hi Shahriar,
Client has tested and it is mostly OK – apart from translation of the options “Document Type” and “Select Site”
We create the document in English, and then want to translate into French with WPML.
We select “Copy Content from English” (nothing happens) – we select “Overwrite with English Content” – the title, category, file, 2 letter country code, package settings, etc all copy over.
But the metadata selection for “Document Type” and “Select Site” are not carried over to the french translation.
I checked in WPML -> Translation Management -> Multilingual Content Setup -> Show System fields. Everything related to WPDM is selected as “Copy from original to translation” – so I do not see a system field option there for “Document Type” and “Select Site” to make this work.
Please advise? Thank you.
regarding fatal error, WPML say this:
Until this point, WPML works great.
Now what happens next is in
/plugins/download-manager/tpls/wpdm-be-member.php
line number 81 is calling
get_permalink(get_option('__wpdm_user_dashboard'));
Which is throwing the FATAL error
'__wpdm_user_dashboard' return 0
and thus throwing a fatal error.
Thank you, let me send to client for testing and approval and I will get back to you.
Hi Shariar,
OK thanks
1. Regarding the fatal error on the page for the shortcodes, I think I agree that it is a problem with WPML. I have raised it with them, and will come back if they have any questions.
See info here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/fatal-error-79/page/2/#post-1114426
2. Document page is working now, you can check this please?
