I think due to the ajax interface of [wpdm_archive_filter], it does not like me running the shortcode using PHP and the
do_shortcode() function.

The shortcode you suggested would require me to make dozens of pages using that shortcode and filter down to the specific categories I am looking for. In my original link https://www.waukbearing.com/resources/download-center/ you can see we are using one main directory page. So your suggestion will not work.
Is it possible to add the “operator (string) ► ‘IN’, ‘AND’” or something similar to the wpdm_archive_filter shortcode? Another option would be to use the wpdm-archive shortcode, which is what I was using before the newest update and the addition of the new wpdm_archive_filter shortcode.

It looks like the shortcode you suggested does not have a category selection. Or am I missing something?
I tried it on a test page and the live demo https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/list-packages/ does not show any kind of category sidebar.
