When I go to the front end and look at the items I have there for download, the PDF viewer now says, “You don’t have permission to download this file, even though I’m logged in as an administrator.

Looks like I have to manually edit the permissions on each and every one of my downloads (all 147 of them) individually to fix. Not thrilled.

This worked, thank you! I was afraid to uninstall the software and risk losing my data.

Have a great day.

We just had a test folder/directory, changed the path in the settings, and moved the files to the root to go live. Used the Velvet Blues URL updater. Have done this I don’t know how many times with other sites. In the database, I did find our old URL many times for Download manager that had not been updated. I used another database editor, and that seems to have done the trick. I reinstalled all my plugins fresh, DM too, with yours as the last one. It has been up for about an hour now and resources seem ok.

Do you think if DM was looking for the testsite URL it may have used the resources up and freaked out the server?

Thanks
