I wish to thank you for the fixing of the issue thanks to the updated PDF Stamper plugin. Now all is working fine again! Thanks
FTP access sent too to your support email. Thanks for help.
Hello, I sent access details via email, I hope you received it. Please let me know if they are ok or if you need something more. Thanks.
I sent the access details via email to support@wpdownloadmanager.com
I cannot leave private messages…how can I do?
If I click on “SET AS PRIVATE REPLY” and then I click on SUBMIT the page refresh and nothing is submitted…
Same problems here (I get error 500), I tried anything…the problem seems to be related to the PDF Stamper plugin itself…
I also uploaded and overwritten “wp-includes” and “wp-admin” folders and files, but it also did not solved the issue.
It seems an issue related to the plugin PDF Stamper, because if I disable it, I can download PDF files (of course they are not watermarked…).
All other website features are working fine…only PDF stamper breaks it.
I also tried to change PHP version in Plesk, PHP memory limits, and I still have 500 error when PDF Stamper is on and I try to download any (ANY) pdf.
I followed any online guide and tutorial about WordPress and error 500, but of course they are generic ones and all their solution did not worked for me.
It is four days that I am struggling with this issue. I don’t know how to do, because I need to use the plugin (PDF Stamper) that I bought…
If I set as private the reply, your website refresh and no message is saved… it is not possible to mark a post as private.
That said, the error log on server simply says ERROR 500 and you see the link that gave error.
I also turned on the PHP error reporting and WordPress debug log. There are no data more than Error 500.
I tried to switch theme, nothing changed, still error 500 as soon as I try to download any PDF having PDF Stamper Plugin activated…
1) This is just an example of a PDF: listed in private message
2) I am using Envato ENFOLD Theme, latest version (just upgraded it yesterday too)
3) I am already tried to change those WPDM settings without success
Summarizing:
1) I have last WordPress release 4.9.4
2) I have PHP 5.6.33, memory limit is 768MB
3) in WP-Config: define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ ); //==► I tried also 512M
4) I have last Download Manager Free plugin 2.9.68
5) I have last WordPress PDF Stamper plugin 1.90 (just bought the update USD 22,00, thinking it was the culprit (cause I had 1.50), but it was not needed to buy the new 1.90 because it is not working the same…)
6) All permissions on folders and files are ok (755 for folders, 644 for files)
7) Files and folders owner is correct
8) I tried to disable all other plugins, and they are all updated to their last versions
9) I tried to delete and to recreate .htaccess (clicking on permalink after deleting it)
10) PDF are normal PDF, no encrypted, no protected, just created with Adobe (and they all worked with PDF Stamper till few days ago)
Nothing of these above things solved.
The only way to let PDF files download happens again is to disable WordPress PDF Stamper plugin…making it totally useless (and I need to use it).
Any other ideas, please?
Thanks.
I cannot give access to our production server. Can you suggest something else I can try, please?
Shaon,
thank you so much!
Now it finally works PERFECTLY!
Thanks
Hello,
do you have news about the solution of this issue, please?
I just downloaded PDF Stamper 1.3 but it is still not solved, “Bypass settings” doesn’t work…
Hello Shaon,
can you check and fix the “Bypass settings” as promised 10 days ago, please?
Thanks.
OK, thanks, hope you will fix it soon.
Thanks
Also this option doesn’t work for me:
Bypass Stamper:
[X] Skip Processing This Package ?
PDF stamper is applied every time.
Well, I found that in my installation PDF Stampers works ONLY if I don’t use it with files uploaded through WPDownloadManager, but only if I add files through WP admin->Downloads->Add New->Add Attachment->Browse and selecting one of the PDF files that I loaded manually using FTP.
It is not a big issue, but I would like to know if you can suggest me how to solve (maybe a permission issue…).
I am using Centos 6.5 + Plesk 11.5
Thanks
Shaon, now it works with different PDF files, very strange.
By the way, I tried to set:
Encryption:
[X] Enable Encryption For This Package
File Permission:
[X] Allow user to print the document
but downloaded files are not encrypted, and it is possible to modify them.
Is there some settings I have to change to apply encryption on download, please?
Thanks
Hello Shaon, I sent it, did you received?
My screen cast
Hello Shaon, I see that is working in your installation, but in mine it doesn’t… I will do a screencast in minutes
Shaon, I already sent you the PDF file by email yesterday, please check if you received.
Shaon, I sent you the file yesterday by email, you can check it, it is NOT encrypted.
