Nayeem, Is there a way to create thumbnails from pdf without using Imagick? Seems my host are not willing to modify the policy.xml to enable the conversion.

Looking at this in more detail, I don’t think changing the template is a viable workaround. I am becoming more and more convinced the issue lies with my Imagemagick configuration and not with Download Manager. I don’t have direct access to the host environment, so a bit tricky to solve, but working on it with the server admin.

Hi Nayeem. I’ve tried both of those options with no luck. The recreate thumbnails doesn’t appear to work on pdfs in the Download Manager files folder in the media folder. Seems I need to manually add a featured image for the [thumb-WxH] tag to work.

Is this expected behaviour?

Do you have documentation on custom template tags? Maybe that would get be around this… something like ‘if thumb doesn’t exist, use pdf_thumb’. Perhaps you could share the code for the thumb-WxH and pdf_thumb-WxH tags?

I’ve looked at those, but I think the thumbnail is the best option as it is create when a new download is created, correct?

Is there a way I can get Download Manager to cycle through existing packages and recreate thumbnails??
