Exactly, this is the problem for me.
I only would like to understand if it’s a bug or not.

I’m using 3 shortcodes for single category in the same web page, and when you search you obtain results outside the category, this is non-sense for me.

1. So, is confirmed that isn’t possible to limit search to a specific / single category?

2. Is this the normal behavior of the search function?
If yes, I would suggest to change this function: when the search is done inside the category (or tag or other) shortcode it would be better to output just the results of the specific shortcode settings.

Thanks, yes I’m displaying some specific categories with the shortcode.
I already managed to remove the search bar with toolbar=”no” option, as I don’t wanna that the search output results also for other file categories.

I put the search shortcode, so there is only one search point that output all files, this can be an acceptable solution, if the search can’t be limited in the category shortcode.
