While I appreciate that the pro has many more features, I agree with those above that it is considerably more difficult to use and understand. Despite working on this plugin for hours, I have been unable to get it to do what I need for my site.
Quite simply, I was looking for the ease of the free plugin with increased options, such as the Facebook and Twitter locks.
-I wanted to simply have a download button, as the free one did. I used the image button add-on, but it did not work.
-I want my users to be able to download directly from the button, not be directed to a different download page.
-I do NOT want to show any additional information, such as a download counter or file size.
I am not trying to do anything fancy. I want a download button that works as well as the free one while also providing increased control. Like NovaStar, I have returned to the free version because it actually does what I need it to do without needing to learn fifty different short codes (once the user must look up all the different short code options and read through them to understand what each does, it no longer qualifies as a shortcut).
Please make this program more user friendly. Right now, I feel I have wasted $45, because I would rather use the free version than continue to struggle with the pro.
