Hello,

I submitted a request on the page you sent but i got no reply on how the new feature will be implemented. Just a payment button for 198$. Can i talk to someone who will let me know how they will implement the feature i requested?

Also, 198$ is very expensive, we don’t have that kind of budget from our client, can we negotiate? This is an important feature that you can implement on future versions of the module and offer value to your customers. I am sure more people asked for this feature.

Hi,

You update the module and now i lost all the files i translated. I had to translate stuff directly from the code because its not translating from the language files as it should.

I see the front end upload is working now, but do you have any solution for my other issue related to the category search? We have a lot of categories and its very hard to navigate them with the small window scroll solution you have now. Maybe have a category expand and collapse feature or searching categories.

Hi,

You have full access, i just checked. After you login the first time, you have to enter the link: https://magneticwin.pt/wp-admin/ to access the wordpress backoffice. Please try again.

Hi,

I tried uploading your code but i just get an error and the module stops working when uploading a file.
Maybe i did something wrong put can you please check it?

Also, we have an issue with the categories view when uploading a file from front-end. We have a lot of categories and they all appear opened in that small rectangle on the sidebar. that makes it very difficult to actually get to the category we want to choose.
Is there anyway you can modify the module so it has like a search function on the category tree or maybe expand and colapse the categories so we can navigate easier?

Hi,

I mean i selected the category when uploading, but still the file doesn’t show on the frontend. I don’t need any alert, the change you made did not solve the issue. The file still has no permissions for the user who uploaded it to see it.
Did you test this on the front end yourself to check?

Hi,

I just did an upload test from the front end, i uploaded a test file into a category and it doesn’t show on the category tree on the front end, after i uploaded.
Its not working as i needed.

Only after i edit the file on the backoffice and set the user of the file to my username, did the file appear.
You can try it yourself if you want.

Please check this again.

Hi,

The default user role for a user is Subscriber. Its the access for any user that will use the platform from the front end. Administrator are only created by other admins in the backoffice.

Hi,

You mean an external addon? This has nothing to do with permissions to see the page, its permissions to see the file itself.
The user can see the page just fine, the issue is regarding the file itself. If i edit the file on the backoffice and allow the user to see the file then it shows on the categories. Your plugin must do that, no an external module.

Hi,

Yes i want to set a default role while uploading the file from the frontend. But it cannot be all visitors. When the file is uploaded, only the administrator and the user who uploaded the file can see it. It must remain hidden from all other users.
But its important that the user who uploads the file can see it right away.

Hi,

I don’t think you are understanding what i mean.

We have created a page with this shortcode in it: [wpdm-archive button_style=”default” link_template=”link-template-panel” items_per_page=”21″ category=”category-slug” order_by=”field-name” cols=3 order=”asc or desc” login=1]
Which is this page: https://www.mixlifehost.com/magnetic/documentos/

In this page we have a category tree on the left side, where a user can navigate the folders and discover the files he wants.

When a user uploads a file from the front end, he will select one of the categories on this category tree. When he does that upload, only he and the admin can view it, not any other user.

Right now, when a file is uploaded, neither he or the admin can view the file, from the front-end, on the category tree, which is what we want.

This is the flow we require and how it should work, because we cannot keep having to give permissions to a file manually, just for the user who uploaded the file can view it, within the category tree on the front end.

So how can i do this?

Hi,

I have the option to publish the file instantly, its not pending for approoval.
Its not related to that, its a permissions issue from the file itself.

i don’t understand what you mean about the shortcode, there is very little information about, that, i had to check on a forum to know where i could put columns. Is there something wrong with the shortcode i am using? then what is the correct shortcode?

Hi,

I am talking about the view on the documents category tree, where the user can see the files sorted in the respective categories.
Its on this page: https://www.mixlifehost.com/magnetic/documentos/

If you upload a new file, it never shows on the category. you have to manually edit the file in the backoffice and give permissions.

Hi,

All i need is that when a user uploads a file, no matter what category is selected, that the file uploaded can be seen by the user that uploaded it, as well as the administrator. As its working now, a new file uploaded by the user on the front end has no permissions to be viewed. Meaning, a new file cannot be seen by the user that uploaded it, because it has no permissions assigned. We just want for the user that uploads the file to be able to see it, not any other user on the system.
