in reply to: Loading speed of PDFs in overview very slow #204136

Sorry – I did link the wrong video. it is not our team site, it is this URL that displays the PDFs with your plugin.
Here is the current link.

Yes, I wanted to say that the issue persists.
The loading time is long of the overall page. Not the loading time of opening a single PDF.

On that page we display many categories / overviews of PDFs and that takes over 10 seconds.

See the video here

It is only that URL all the other URLs load super fast

in reply to: Loading speed of PDFs in overview very slow #202738

The initial loading time of the URL itself takes a long time due to all the shortcodes on the URL.
Did you not notice that you have to wait over 5 seconds?

Thank you and regards

Below the headline of the categories, we have one section in an accordion for all categories we have for the documents.
Within every category we have the following shortcode:
[wpdm_all_packages login=0 thumb=0 items_per_page="10" categories="legal-updates-thailand" jstable=1 order_by="publish_date" order="DESC" cols="title,excerpt|publish_date|download_link" colheads="Name::60%|::10%Document::15%|"]

In the first post the related URL is already mentioned.

also where can I change the text that is displayed when no search results are found?

I want it to say ” No PDFs found” and not the following:

text for search results

It can not be fixed because I did not update the plugin. After all, it has the same version.

The issue still exists – I have just deleted some PDFs because I thought your program was not capable of working with so many documents. But once we get to the same amount of documents the same issue will return.

Please tell me where I can download a higher version of Default Values 2.1.0

in reply to: Default values not working properly #198714

I went to my purchases and downloaded it from there again.
When I upload it again to WordPress but the same issue:
the “new” version of the plugin is the version number 2.1.0, but the old version that I have now has the same.

Seems like there is no update yet

in reply to: Default values not working properly #198682

I have downloaded it but when I upload it to WordPress it tells me, that the “new” version das the version number 2.1.0 but the old version that I have now has the same.

Hence, it seems like the update is not yet available to download.

Eg. in the catgory: Thailand Brochures, Hong Kong Brochures,

OK I will keep my eye open for the search issue. I also did some changes.

Regarding the other issue. Someone of your team change the button text to “View PDF” now I have that as a value and for some (where the default values is not working) I have the correct value “Read”.
When are you going to change it to the correct value and do you know now why not all values are changing? if not, when can we expect a solution?

in reply to: Default values not working properly #198607

I ment the search bar that is above all the different categories, that is created with the search shortcode and goes over all the PDFs here (see image).

+ We do not need the download count visible on the page itself. We only want to see a correct count in the backend.

+ We also want to see it on a month-to-month basis.

–> apparently you track the figures on a month-to-month basis but the figures seem not to be right.

Please read my questions and answer them.

Thank you for responding again, but you still avoided my question:

This is my question:
How is this possible that there is such a big gap between view count and download count?
How exactly do you count the figures for viewed and downloaded?
