i’ve continuously had to remove all htaccess in order for the website to come back up. this has been going on for months. i’ve sent a ticket about this before. this ticket is in regards to me having to delete the download manager htaccess file because it made the icons not accessible and had the templates showing incorrectly and removed the download options. after deleting the htaccess file in the download manager folder, the download manager items returned back to normal function. I don’t have screenshots to share.

good Day,

After multiple attempts, I checked previous downloads, and it seems it was user error. I had the user make remove the files and add them back and the download worked as it should. Issues have been resolved ticket can now be closed.

the latest error I now face is:
Zlib
is not active! Failed to initiate
ZipArchive

I modified the php.ini and changed the zlib compression to on. This still has not resolved the issue.

Hi there, just letting you know that the error finally went away after renaming both htaccess to old. The main htaccess and the download manager htaccess… now i have a Zlib is not active! Failed to initiate ZipArchive error. But i see an article on how to resolve that.

Thank you for jogging my memory. I believe last time we had to delete the htaccess file. Is there a reason we have to do this yet again for this plugin?

I will carry out the suggestions and confirm the issue is resolved.

I am the server administrator. Additional information is needed. Nothing was
changed and suddenly it’s no longer working. Please provide additional
information or suggestions. This only seems to happen with this plugin.

please note I also deleted the plugin and downloaded a fresh copy from wpdm site and installed and activated yesterday which didn’t resolve the issue.

I’m not sure how to attach a screenshot, but once wpdm is re-enabled the close button appears at the bottom left of all pages and doesn’t do anything when clicked.

Please try again. I also observed that at the bottom of all the pages of the website a close button was appearing that didn’t belong there. Upon disabling the Download manager plugin the close button disappeared.

on both the front and back end of the website the plugin is not displaying correctly. The icons aren’t visible and the layout looks awkward.

Good day, we re-did the migration once more and there is still an issue. Please help. I replicated the image you sent above, all seems to be pointing to the correct location, yet there is still an issue.

Good day,

The update was waiting when I checked this morning. Update has been completed. The download button pops up in a different color for some reason, it’s barely visible. Wil see if I can adjust that.

Please note I appear to have been charged 2x.

I too am experiencing this issue. It no longer works. I believe there are a series of issues at the moment with this plugin.

Users are still unable to download documents though they’ve submitted their name and email address.
