It’s using a template that’s a copy of Bootstrap Thumbnail, but without any thumbnails. The 300×200 image is just too big, and we couldn’t get the doc title to line up beside the 60×60 image, so we just scrapped the thumbnail entirely for the time being.
But the big issues is that so far we haven’t been able to change the layout to show something other than 10 items per page. That would be something good to have more control over on our end.
Giving admin access to this website is not an option. We did get everything resolved except for changing the 10 items per page.
I struggled with this for 2 days, it still would not work on my test subdomain, so we went ahead and did the upgrade on the primary site.
The archive page add-on is completely messed up, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to get it to layout the way it used to. Will be opening another thread for this issue.

An older version is already installed on the live site. The problem was with a previous attempt to update to a newer version of both Download Manager and the Archives Page add-on. So rather than break what’s currently working again, we want our web dev to try it out on our test site first. So technically it would be active on both sites.
I’ve downloaded the new versions, and the default template now uses a different size image, with the feature image above the link and description. Previously, it was using the icon sized images, and even though that’s still the template we have selected, it’s not displaying that, and we had to downgrade the add-on version back to 1.6.0 again.
But downgrading the add-on caused a fatal error for the website, so I had to downgrade back to v3.3.5 of the main plugin too. Is there a way to fix this at all? I’d love to be able to play with and fix this myself, but the license won’t let me install it on a test site to see if I can make the changes we want without messing up our production site.
We’ve also always had to use our own preview images, since the default icons provided never seemed to work. Could that be part of the problem as well?
Hello, Shaon…. I still have not received an email with this fix. Is this something you could send me right away?
I cannot give you access, the client doesn’t allow it. If you could email me what’s needed, I should be able to make the changes.
Also, will this update or a new template take care of the problem where the file size displayed is 0 bytes, even though we’ve manually entered a file size?
Thanks!
Okay, great… the option to change the link template is there for the Archive Page now, but did something change for the default archive layout between 1.6.0 and 1.6.1?
With the update, the default layout is no longer 2 rows side-by-side, like you see in your demo, and I tried changing both page and link templates to get that page, and none of those worked… I had to downgrade back to 1.6.0 to get it to look the same again.
Do I need to create a new link template to get the original look to display using v1.6.1 of the Add-On?
That option does not appear on our Settings page… could this be an issue because we upgraded from the free version to the pro version?
We are using Download Manager v3.3.5 and Archive Page Add-on 1.6.0
There are no template selections available from the Download Manager Settings page, so where would I make those changes?
We are already using link templates for the files to remove the download counts, which you can see when you view the individual files, but that doesn’t translate to the main archive page.
Also, since the file size registers zero bytes for files with a remote URL, it’d be nice to be able to remove that from the Archive Page main page too, unless there’s a way to get the manually entered file sizes to display instead?
That only works for the download counts in the individual files/packages templates, but the counts are still displayed on the main Downloads page, which is created by the Archive Page add-on.
That’s the one we haven’t been able to remove the download counts from. What is the template for the main page of the Archive Page layout?
Alas, I cannot give you access to the website, but there is definitely some confusion on how to use Link Templates and Page Templates.
We have test pages with single files as packages, but changing the Link Templates and Page Templates so we can view them doesn’t do anything at all… how can we best see what these templates look like?
And what is the best way to add images to the Directory add-on? We finally found where the crazy font was being added and removed it from the add on so that it used the same font as the rest of the site, but the thumbnails and featured images seem to have an erratic preference of their own when it comes to display sizes ๐
Are there recommended sizes for Featured images for downloads?
