It looks like my php5.6 didnt have the needed php zip package installed, even though zlib.compression was on.
The error message is misleading. It could be improved by changing it from this:
“Please activate “zlib” in your server”
To something like this:
“Please make sure that zlib.compression is enabled on your server and that you have the php-zip library installed for your current php version.”

I fixed this error by installing the php56-zip library on the server. Now my packages download.

Thanks,
Kristopher

The server’s php.ini file didn’t successfully upload to my last post. You can view it by grabbing it from my dropbox here:

Okay, I just tried that. I dragged and dropped the .xls file to the “upload files from PC” box in the package. It shows the upload progress indicator, and I click UPDATE package to save it. Then the package shows the xls file in the list of files in the package. But, when I download the package, the xls file is not in the zip. Also when I browse in “add files from server” to check if the file is in “Download Manager Files, IT ISNT THERE!!!

So I can drag it to the upload files from pc box, and it shows the progress bar and then adds it to the files list of the package, but it doesn’t actually put it into “wp-dontent/uploads/download-manager-files”!!!!!

This is reproducible, and I need help getting it fixed.
Thanks.

The category names were there originally, but they are gone now, even from the categories page. See attached image.

What I did before this happened was this: I tried to change the file link template for ALL of my categories at once by following the instructions posted here: http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/how-i-can-change-all-categories-link-template-by-sql/#post-7556
I did this because by upgrading to pro from free all of the download links lost the icons that I had selected for each download package. I wanted a way to change the link template of all categories so that I wouldn’t have to change the link template one category at a time.

Now, all of my categories have the same link template, but all of their names are gone!

This is getting worse by the minute! I am losing hours and hours of work that I will have to do over again.
