Okay, now I figured out the problem. It worked how you had it, BUT WHEN I PUT IT IN A CATEGORY it was visible to everyone again not just CRNAs. Does that make sense?

I’m not sure how to get this resolved. When adding a new document you have an option under Package Settings called “Allow Access”. What exactly does that option do? It defaults to “all visitors”. I delete all visitors and add just one group, but all groups can still access it. What’s the purpose of that option if it does not work?

My client asked the status of this and I just checked and it still doesn’t work. The log information can still be found above.

Here’s what happens:
1. I log in as admin
2. click “add new” under downloads
3. create a title
4. add a test pdf file
5. remove everyone from “Allow Access”
6. add Anesthesiologist only
7. click on publish

Then when I log back in as a CRNA, I am able to see and download the file that should be for Anesthesiologist
only. That should not happen. Please help!

Thanks. Chris

And yes, the packages are displayed using the wpdm_tree shortcode.

I want to be able to allow or disallow access by download package. When you open a package there is an option where you can allow access to certain users, but it doesn’t work. The only I can restrict access by user right now is by creating a new sub folder and configuring access there. The allow access by specific user is NOT working in the packages. Again, when you log in using the CRNA credential that I sent you in the private message you can see the Test Document and should not be able to, because I only have Anathesiologists and Admins selected for that document/package.

The users are given that role when adding new users in WordPress under users. We define the roles in User Role Editor. When I go to All Packages and select the Test Package to edit, Allow Access is set to: Anesthesiologist and Administrator, but as mentioned CRNAs are still able to access the document and shouldn’t. At least that’s how it used to work. The only way I can do this is by setting up multiple directories under the tree menu. So yes, that tree menu is what is having trouble. Thanks. Chris

We have everything resolved except the filtering by document does not seem to be working. Is this a known issue and if so do you have an estimate time for a fix? Thanks!!!

The client states that not all the folders are appearing. Is there something that would cause that to happen during this process?

I had to purchase it again and download it and it appears to be working. How did the plugin just vanish? I feel like I already paid for it. Was it up for renewal or something? Thanks. Chris

I will need to downgrade all of the plugins I originally listed because I have no idea which one caused the issue. The only thing running on the test site now is WPDM and it still doesn’t work even with twenty twenty one theme. Thanks. Chris

I had the same issue at https://cwanest.com/test/cm-download-view/ after the update and it still isn’t working over a week later. Where did you find the old version to downgrade to? I’d prefer to downgrade since support isn’t helping even after I disabled all other plugins.

As stated, I turned off all the plugins except WPDM ones and changed the theme to twenty twenty one and it still doesn’t work.

Any updates on this? My client is getting very restless. I’m wondering if I need to start all over from scratch? Again, this occurred after updates of several things (PHP, WordPress and Your Software). The only ones I cannot rollback are the ones that came from your remote server. Can you please look at this or else do you have an archive where I can download the older versions? Thanks!

They didn’t find anything in the logs, but they reset the permissions and I reinstalled the plugin, but now it says: ”
