I sorted it out. I deleted all of the wpdm related entries in wp_options table and reloaded the plugin. Everything is working fine now. However, something about the upgrade process isn’t working properly to cause this.
Since getting help here is spotty, I’ll chime in. You have two very different versions of the same plugin. Based on the changes I’ve seen in the newest version, I’d go with 4.0.7. It uses custom post types and is much more contemporary in its thinking in regards to WordPress.
Is there anything in the upgrade process that might prevent the plugin from working properly? When I start with a blank DB , everything works fine, but when I’m upgrading, it is not working.
