Hi

Thanks for your reply. I did link to the test page on my original post. Here it is again:

https://members.ateb-group.co.uk/download/video-test

I’ll follow up with some credentials for you to check the issue.

Thanks

Thanks. That did not resolve the problem, however.

What I did to get around was clone the Card Vertical link template, remove the PHP code for the thumbnail and replace it with the thumbnail shortcode, plus the extra button I needed in the first place

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it did not fix the issue. They are still sorted by publish date, descending instead of title ascending.

I even made a new plain page with just the code in to make sure the Themify builder wasn’t interfering and it does exactly the same

no, I actually created a directory with the correct naming (apart from missing the extra one you pointed out) and just placed in the one i modified

Thanks. That did work but it’s not featured in the documentation. However the link its not opening in the light box as the code seems to suggest it would. Does it need any other components installed for this to work?

see example here Example download with preview

Yes that is the same link as before.

I have put the backup of my modified template in {active theme}/download manager

../ATEBComplianceMembersDev/wp-content/themes/basic-child/download-manager/link-template-card-download.php

Thanks. I hadn’t done it that way. I just duplicated it in the original location and edited it in there, hence now it’s gone after the update, which makes sense.

I did keep a backup as I thought it might be the case. I have placed it in the location your link suggests but it doesn’t seem to pick it up. Do i need to do anything after for the plugin to see those templates?

The modification i needed was just adding a download button in addition to the view details one, which was working fine.

Thanks Nayeem

most things seem to work now. The two things i can still see is the link template on this page https://members.ateb-group.co.uk/compliance-manual but i thinks thats probably cos the update removed the one I had manually customised (I had to do that as duplicating them and modifying it was not working and showed leftover php code)

The other thing I can see is the sidebar items on the detail view of the items are all missing

Thanks

in reply to: Memberships – Is it possible to bulk import members? #152664

Thanks. I look forward to trying it out

Hi Nayeem, just for the purposes of clarity:

1. We have an existing member-based website but this was not built using WordPress or WPDM Memberships. This currently contains a list of 1000+ subscribers.
2. We would like to import the subscribers, via a CSV file or similar into our new WordPress website which utilises WPDM Memberships.

Is this possible? If so, could you please describe the import process and activation process for the members?

Juan Gordo
Participant

Thanks but that is not what we are asking. We need to IMPORT members from a different platform to this one

Juan Gordo
Participant

yes. We have a big list of current subscribers and we need it imported into the membership add on somehow

Juan Gordo

Thanks. But no, that’s not what I meant. I want to transfer the lists of members of the current system (probably a CSV file or similar) into the WPDM Memberships so they all have access to the new system and I don’t have to get them to sign up or create them all individually myself

Hi Thanks for that. There are two reasons why that is not activated, which are currently being discussed in other posts in this forum. I.E. the incompatibility of premium packages with Themify builder and the conflict between Premium Packages and Memberships

Basically when Premium packages is activated it forces members to go through the cart to download the files, as opposed to just have a download button, and we cannot have that.

I don’t understand what the memberships add-on needs the other add on to work correctly anyway. Is it because they are both installed? would removing PP altogether, rather than just deactivating, do the same trick?

Also as a separate question, is there a way to bulk import members from a different platform?

Thanks for your reply. I have been hitting my head against the documentation pages to no avail before posting here as a last resort. Pointing me back to the documentation is not that useful.

Have I missed something in particular? Should I not be hiding the download button? is there a “level” parameter for non members?

Juan Gordo
Participant

Yes, I have the correct membership access to the files. I just need those with no access to have a link to go sign up for access
