Thanks. I have downloaded that and installed it. I guess I wont know if it fixed the issue until there’s a new update. Thanks for the prompt reply
Hi, thanks for that. No, I had missed the update. I must have auto installed while I was off.
Anyway, I have just checked and it hasn’t addressed the issue. All new memberships are set to expire within a month regardless of the settings. Just like before when I reported this. It looks like a fix for this has not been included in that patch.
Could you please double check with the team and give me an update?
Much appreciated
J
Happy new year guys. Any updates on the progress of this bug? We are nearing go live and this is one of the last pieces of the puzzle before we press GO.
An update would be most welcome.
Thanks
how can i trythat? and if thats the issue, how can it be fixed?
Not that I can see. The base country is the UK and all the countries are ticked on the allowed list. And we are in the UK
No, paypal is not even turned on. I only have TestPay turned on for testing purposes
Hi Nayeem. Is there any updates on this? Got a meeting today to give an update on website progress and really need to know where we are with this. Thanks
only thing appearing on the console is an error regarding Paypal, which is not even in use:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 400 () https://www.paypal.com/sdk/js?client-id&integration-date=2020-07-09&vault=true
could that be causing it?
still not working on my side
Hi Nayeem
As you requested, I have disabled every other plugin apart from download manager and premium packages. The issue still happens all the same. I even switched on to a different theme so the themify builder engine wouldn’t be active. It still throws the same Cart Empty error when trying to purchase anything.
I have left it like that for now in case you want to have a look for yourself.
Hi Nayeem.
Thanks for having a look. Yes that is the most frustrating. It’s not consistent with every user. I get it all the time and I have a few test subjects that have gone through successfully. But I’ve had more failures than the last time, and especially, it failed when I was presenting to my boss too on his computer.
here is a video of me trying and failing to purchase your test file too, twice: Failed test purchase
sure. Temp login is active again.
Basically, I cannot purchase anything through the cart. trying to check out I get a message saying its empty regardless of whatever is in the cart
Hi Nayeem.
Sadly this issue has raised its ugly head again and it’s affecting us badly. At least before it was only me and a couple other people, now it seems more widespread.
Can I please have some help with this, please?
Hi Nayeem
Is there any progress on this issue? Last I heard from you it was mentioned that you guys had identified the problem. Is there going to be a fix for this soon? I am waiting for this before I can release the site to our Beta testers
Thanks
THanks Nayeem. Of course, i’ll pop it in there. I just thought i’d ask first in case it was already implemented somehow and I had missed it.
Any progress on that fix for the membership duration? You mentioned you had identified the issue
Cheers
Thanks Nayeem
Also while we are on the subject, is there a way to see a list view of the members whose plans are expiring soon? without having to go and click on MANAGE each of them? It would be impossible for our sales team to keep on top of hundreds of subscribers that our old system already has if we don’t have something like that
Thanks
I just created a further test and it still seems broken. I left 0 on the Billing Cycle Limit.
The description on the sign up page seems correct. £30 for the first 2 Months and then £30 every 2 months
But after I sign up, the admin panel tells me it will expire in 1 month!
What is more, I set it to bill every 2 months, and when I sign up for it, says in the dashboard that the next billing cycle is in 1 month, not 2.
Every plan, no matter the settings expires in 1 month. Plan description is correct, but it doesn’t work that way. I’m at a loss with this and we are desperate to get this to our customers.
Hi Nayeem, sorry I completely missed your reply and forgot about this issue as I’ve been busy with other stuff.
Yes, that is exactly what I thought it should be, I think. And as Billing cycle I understand every time the customer gets billed. So a 12 month plan with a £1 per month, the customer gets 12 billing cycles then it expires, right? the “FOR EVERY” bit is how often the customer gets billed (ie every 1 month in this case) and then the Billing Cycle Limit is what stops it after 12 months. If I wanted it indefinite I would put a 0 and there’s no limit.
But why with the above example does it expire after only 1 month? it makes no sense
Just to let you know that one of your recent updates seem to have resolved the issue. Thanks
Yes, I have those already, but they don’t help as they insert a shortcode for a specific item/category. What I need is to be able to put the shortcode in the archive page template and for it to figure out which section it needs to display. Is that even possible?
Ah yes, but thats for a specific category. I am building a generic category/archive template so I need the page to pick up the correct category
Thanks Nayeem
I have tried that with the category but struggling to set up the shortcode to get it to display only the current category’s packages. This is what i have so far but not sure what ID to give it to call the relevant category
[wpdm_category id="" cols="3" toolbar=1 orderby="title" order="asc" items_per_page="20" template="card_vertical_download3"]
I havent looked at the breadcrumbs properly yet but thanks for that. I will let you know how that works. The main problem i see is the removal of the Downloads page that is not relevant. I’ll see how it goes
Thanks
Thanks for your reply, but we have already been through this dance earlier on in the thread.
I have had this tested by a lot of people. Most go through it fine but I’ve had some hitting this error in subsequent purchases.
For me, it just does not work at all. I’ve tried in 3 or 4 different browsers, some that had never been on this site. Mobile phones, tablets, and even a PC windows laptop I have kicking around for testing. All same error. Can’t purchase anything.
As you can see on the video above, clearing all cookies and emptying the caches doesn’t fix the issue
