1) That seems like a lot of work for a plugin that’s supposed to have this option. Better to inform people before they buy, IMHO.
2) I see. I took out any locking and tried the link, and it is indeed preventing the download, so this works.
3) cache dir is writable
Anyway, since I wasted more than a day on this I decided to skip the locking. Maybe it’s for the better, at least wpdm gives me a statistic on how many poeple downloaded the files. Thanks
Ok, I uploaded a file to dropbox and used Remote file URL, doesn’t work either!!!
I get a link like this:
where I see the package ID number and some sort of key, but all it does is take me to the home page, wether the file is hosted on the server or linked in via dropbox.
I must have spent 6 hours now trying to get this to work :-((( What a waste of time and money
I also bought Block Hotlink, which has a serial number but I was never asked to enter it and haven’t found a way to enable it. Maybe that’s why my downloadlinks in emails is not working? Please advise, thanks.
