You have marked this thread as “Resolved” but that is not the case.
Your suggestion is only a quick fix to a big problem as you can read in this thread.

Many paying customers have this problem.

The fact that you do not respond directly to all these complains gives my (us) the feeling that you do not take us seriously.
As I read the complains this problem exists for a long time already (years!), then why is this not fixed yet.

Can you understand the trouble for us, the users?

I am genuine curious to your explanation as why you do not respond to our quistions and why this problem exists so long already and has never been fixed.

Yes, that’s what I did.
But I don’t want this to happen the next time.

Is it really possible the updateprocess deletes the entire plugin directory?

How can I prevent that in the future?
