Hi Nayeem,
It is not completely fixed as we need to turn the cache back on for the rest of the site for performance. Can you tell us how we can exclude your files from caching to fix the issue completely please?
Thank you,
Jess
Hi There,
I have managed to get to the bottom of this issue with our hosting support. The issue is cache related as when cache is turned off on the site all of the downloads seem to be working. The cache is still turned off currently (for the whole site) but are you able to let me know what files need to be excluded so we are able to reenable it for the rest of the site.
Many thanks
Aaron
These are the packages that it links to:
Revit – https://frovi.co.uk/download/flord-revit/
3DS – https://frovi.co.uk/download/flord-3ds/
3D DWG – https://frovi.co.uk/download/flord-3d-dwg/
2D DWG – https://frovi.co.uk/download/flord-2d-dwg/
MAX – https://frovi.co.uk/download/flord-max/
SketchUp 3D – https://frovi.co.uk/download/flord-sketchup/
It seems to be a problem with files that contain more than one file.
Thank you
We have the main downloads pages hidden in the background. Are you able to try from the front end link please – https://frovi.co.uk/product/new-designs/flord/
Neither are working for us. We are getting a network error now which is different to the original problem of the extraction now.
Hello,
Weirdly we are getting the issue when you aren’t logged into wordpress. It seems to be ok when logged in but we are getting error messages when not logged in.
Our developer found that other people are getting the same issue – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/downloads-not-working-8/ He has followed the instructions here but is still having the same issue.
Hope you can help.
Thank you for sending the video although the majority of our users wouldn’t use an extractor tool, they would be using a standard windows extractor.
Could you check it like that please and see if you get the same issue? If it is the windows extractor then I will see if they can help and see why it is doing that.
Thank you.
Hi Nayeem,
So you don’t get an error when you try to extract the folder in windows? I get it every time and every customer that uses windows is getting that error.
We have setup a script to redirect to dropbox temporarily as it is causing us so many problems.
Could you confirm that you have no problems extracting the files once downloaded please?
If you are not having the same issue then we will look to use another plug-in.
Thank you,
Jess
This applies to all packages that are compressed. Our developers have added a script temporarily that diverts to a dropbox folder instead. Let me know if you need that removed for testing.
